Sales Specialist

Experience: •Associate Degree/2 year college with 5 to 8 years of State & Local Government contract and compliance experiences or Bachelor's Degree with 3 to 5 years of State & Local Government contract and compliance experience and known as a subject matter expert. Direct related experience and relationships with Procurement and contracts is required. • Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and juggle high level activity of multiple contracts and bids at a given time. Required to read and understand contracts along with expert business negotiator/sales with operational knowledge and expertise •Prior experience with Sales and operational organization required. •Must have a strong understanding of the market, ability to develop responses for bids, lead and direct internal teams on Government bid process for winning responses; a proficient multi-tasker and problem solver; take a Big Picture approach; strong ability to understand the business, reduce costs and risks and improve margins along with supporting sales to close deals when required related to the contracts; must be accountable and transparent to ensure government contract compliance. Experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite. • Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, and project management deadlines. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on activity; generally 50% of the time and will include weekends once or twice a year. Consistently demonstrates accountability and strong work ethic shown by meeting deadlines, commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and standard business conduct and ethical responsibilities.
