The Infocenter Presales Technical Consultants (or "TC" in short) play a critical role as trusted advisors to our customers and business partners with technical answers and recommendations, plus consultancy and advice.
The Infocenter Presales Technical Consultant role is an Expert/Specialist level Technical Presales role in the commercial channel organization for candidates who have 3 years or more technical consulting experience in the printing and managed services industry. This role provides technical presales support on HP imaging and printing products and printing software including fleet management tools, device management, network printing, multi-function printers, secure printing solutions and document capture and routing.
The team provides support in 5 languages across all countries in Europe, Middle-East and Africa. We are looking for candidates who are native in English, or French or Italian, or German. All candidates must speak English fluently.
In this role the candidate will receive continuous face-to-face, hands-on and virtual trainings on technologies, HP's leading products, solutions and services. Trainings will be held in Barcelona and abroad to develop skills and competencies on the latest and most current IT subject areas.

The Infocenter Presales Technical Consultant (TC) mission is to support sales opportunities by providing technical guidance via email and telephone, from a central location in Barcelona, to our business partners and HP Channel Sales Representatives on value print products, solutions and services. The TC will deliver technical and solution expertise in order to help HP Partners create solutions to win business and provide an excellent level of total customer experience (TCE). The TC will also engage with other technical resources (Presales organization, EMEA regional and World Wide Divisional resources, Customer Experience Centers, etc) where needed.
Provide technical recommendations, direction and guidance on HP Print value products, solutions and services. This includes Multifunction Printers, iMPS, HP Access Control, Web JetAdmin etc.
As a senior member of the team, coach the graduate inside technical consultants.
Answer and track technical questions from partners.
Raise and manage technical escalations on questions and technical issues which cannot be solved within the Infocenter Technical Consultants team.
Present the advantages of HP's Print products and solutions.
Help partners and HP channel team to respond to customers' requests for information, proposal and Quote (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
Lead HP to win Indirect Managed Print Services ("iMPS") deals by assisting Channel Partners with Presales inquiries such as, but not limited to:
- Create "Design to Win" proposals/concepts for end customers
- Deliver targeted training to contribute to the development of HP solutions and Indirect MPS businesses.
Create and deliver management reports on Infocenter activities i.e., call statistics.
Pass on partners' feedback to relevant organizations (Category, iMPS and Solutions teams) at HP.
Deliver presentations and demonstrations of HP Printing Solutions in the Customer Experience Center in Barcelona.
Maintain the quality of the service and the total customer experience (TCE).
Maintain and manage a competitive and appropriate level of technical and professional competence.
Support partners on the status of technical and environmental regulations
- Native German or French or Italian or English speaker and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for non-native English speakers.
- Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree or equivalent experience preferably in a technical/engineering field
- Minimum 3 years of technical consulting experience ideally in one of the major managed print services organization.
- Excellent understanding on printing solutions and products, computer technologies, hardware, operating systems, software, networking technologies.
- Has good analytical, organizational and team skills
- Works on problems and projects and is detail oriented
- Demonstrates ability to stay focused on goals and objectives
- Is self-motivated and shows an ability to operate with minimal tactical direction
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Motivated to search out knowledge and continuously learn.
