Description:
The Financial Shared Services (FSS) organization exists to provide world-class business process services to HP and its associated Businesses. Services are delivered worldwide from global delivery centers located in Asia Pacific, the Americas, and Europe. Principal objectives include maximizing customer satisfaction and value by providing effective and efficient services that allow the customer to focus on strategic priorities.
The Senior Payroll Financial Analyst will provide complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for AMS financial functions of their Payroll costs, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives (E2E).

Balance Sheet reconciliation of all Payroll accounts (Employee / Employer Assets & Liabilities, Tax Withholdings, and Employee deductions).
Ensure completeness of manual journals of non-automated payroll bookings.
Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to actively ensure basic financial analysis needs are met.
Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
Leads a standard transactional accounting process supporting HP's global finance function.
Supports the development of systems and tools.
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong Accounting knowledge (Account Reconciliations is preferred).
Payroll process knowledge experience is preferred.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
Superior teamwork skills.
Strong business acumen.
Good project management skills.
Ability to influence multiple organizations within a broad scope, typically interacting with directors and EXEC3s.
