Payroll Financial Analyst

The Financial Shared Services (FSS) organization exists to provide world-class business process services to HP and its associated Businesses. Services are delivered worldwide from global delivery centers located in Asia Pacific, the Americas, and Europe. Principal objectives include maximizing customer satisfaction and value by providing effective and efficient services that allow the customer to focus on strategic priorities.

The Payroll Financial Analyst will provide standard to moderately complex financial support that is either transactional or analytical for a financial function or a business.

Main Responsibilities:

Balance Sheet reconciliation of all Payroll accounts (Employee / Employer Assets & Liabilities, Tax Withholdings, and Employee deductions).

Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to actively ensure basic financial analysis needs are met.

Handles moderately complex business issues on a routine basis.

Provides analytic support to business initiatives.

Develops a deeper understanding of the company´s financial processes and a detailed knowledge of the business.

Ability to influence a particular cost center within a business, typically interacting with managers.

Timely posting of payroll costs and accruals for all AMS countries.

Completeness of manual journals of non-automated payroll bookings.

Education and Experience Required:

First level university degree is required (focus in Accounting, Finance, Administration

or economics recommended)

Typically 2+ years of experience as a financial analyst.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Strong Accounting knowledge (Account Reconciliations is preferred).

Audit Skills.

Basic understanding of Finance and accounting processes and principles.

Excellent analytical skills.

Intermediate English communication skills.

SAP preferred.

Previous experience in Big Four Accounting Firms is plus (Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PWC)

Payroll process knowledge experience is preferred.

Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

Good teamwork skills.
