Manufacturing Technician

Applies basic knowledge of the job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments/tasks. Good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Works on assignments that are routine to moderately complex in nature and require basic problem resolution and independent judgment. Allocates own time efficiently. Receives general instructions on all work.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and/or 1-2 years related experience.
  • May include highly experienced individuals performing entry-level equivalent work who are non- degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Automatic packaging equipment operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  2. Experience with pneumatics for installation and troubleshooting of components.

  3. Experience with Emerson servo motors troubleshooting.

  4. Basic electronic and knowledge and experience for troubleshooting problems with sensors - proximity, optical, level, capacitive, pressure, flowmeters

  5. Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.

  6. Knowledge of AB HMI's for modifications and troubleshooting.

  7. Basic knowledge of PC and control networks for configuration and addition of new equipment's to existing networks.

  8. Basic knowledge of PC operating systems for pc imaging and configuration.

  9. Experience with Cognex barcode and vision systems for configuration and troubleshooting.

  10. Knowledge working with electrical schematics for troubleshooting.

  11. Experience with bench scales and checkweighters.

  12. Experience with pumps for liquid transfer.

  13. Experience with conveyor systems.

  14. Experience with tooling modifications.

  15. Strong process documentation skills.
