This position is in support of HP Lifestyle photo, a newly created business unit within HP Consumer Print organization. Smartphones have done wonderful things for photography: by putting cameras in people pockets, there are millions of photos taken every day. However those photos stay for the most part in those smartphones. The LifeStyle photo team is driving innovation in order to release those photos from that digital jail, so that they can realize their full sentimental potential. Following the success of HP Sprocket, the team has exciting plans to grow photo printing and is looking for talented individuals.

LifeStyle Photo Software Product Manager

The Software Product Manager is focused on bringing new software experiences to HP customers. In this role, you will apply customer insights, critical thinking and strategic perspective to define next generation solutions that closely integrate with LifeStyle photo devices. You will lead the iterative development of new technology experiences in an entrepreneurial role with a focus on execution.


  • Act as a subject matter expert for the category, customer and competition
  • Understand customer pain points through customer insights, primary and secondary research, analysis of customer, competitor, and product trends
  • Represent the customer - Implement those customer and market insights into actionable business and product requirements and drive the product definition and roadmap through R&D and other internal teams/stakeholders.
  • Communicate roadmap/ROI to extended team and upper management
  • Apply product management frameworks to set direction, drive decision making and ready for go to market
  • Analyze operational and behavioral metrics to formulate and test hypotheses to advance product direction
  • Create customer-facing marketing communication, participate in various go-to-market and training activities, and generally promote the solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accountable for scaling user engagement & retention and achieving business objectives


  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical, MBA preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of product marketing or product management experience


  • Customer-centric focus with the ability to communicate, strategize, plan, and prioritize while seeing through the eyes of the customer
  • Team-oriented self-starter able to work and partner with different personalities and professional styles
  • Holds a strong conviction for applying test, modify & retest methodologies
  • Experience in technology industry (Mobile app / software experience preferred)
  • Excellent writing, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Energized team player who is ready to contribute to the development of new ideas
  • Self-motivated with a results oriented attitude
