Imaging Scientist/Firmware Engineer

Description

As an Imaging Scientist/Software Engineer you will work on cutting-edge color, imaging, and printing technology for Hewlett-Packard. As a member of a multi-discipline team, you will be involved in the research, prototyping, and development of technologies and solutions for improving image and color quality, high-performance image processing, and customer-focused features relating to image and document processing.

Specific areas of work may include color rendering and profiling, digital halftoning, image analysis and processing, and image quality assessment.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Color Science, Image Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

0-2 years experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • High level of expertise in concepts and methods in color science, image processing. Ability to choose and utilize appropriate tools for color and image analysis and measurement.
  • Excellent programming skills with languages and environments such as C, C++, Python, Java, Matlab, Linux, Windows.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and algorithm development skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
