Director IT Vendor Management Office

The IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) Director is responsible for managing a multi-million dollar budget which represents 20% of HP IT's annual spend. This role has responsibility for the definition, execution and governance of the IT organization's vendor and software strategy, software consumption across the entire enterprise, vendor performance management, securement of best in class vendor services, supporting our Global Procurement organization negotiating vendor contracts and rates including SLA's and penalties, as wells as identifying and reducing potential risk across the IT organization related to vendors and vendor services. The HP IT VMO provides leadership & governance across the vendor management lifecycle to improve cost, quality, & responsiveness. The IT VMO's scope of services include:

  • Leadership, governance, and process definition across vendor management lifecycle
  • Vendor selection
  • Contract support
  • Relationship management
  • Performance management
  • Risk management
  • Onboarding & transition
  • Vendor strategy development across key categories
  • Vendor rationalization
  • Vendor reporting, dashboard, & analytics
  • Software license management

Role reports to Head of Office of the CIO.
