Data and Analytics Program Manager

The Data and Analytics Program Manager will have high level responsibility for the delivery and deployment of EDW/BI/Analytics programs. You will lead cross-functional teams of business systems analysts and technical resources to deliver on the reporting solutions. Along with driving enterprise reporting projects, you will oversee the process for delivering on baseline efforts, including production defects and CRs. This role will interact with the IT PMO for portfolio planning and execution, IT partner teams for project delivery, and business stakeholders to define and deliver on committed solutions. This role will engage heavily with vendor partners to build out the next generation EDW and reporting platform. He/she must be passionate about process improvement, particularly around project intake model, portfolio planning & budgeting, and SDLC methodologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of the Enterprise Information Services portfolio, including project planning, resource allocation, and project delivery
  • Closely work with business stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet the expectation and can scale for future needs
  • Act as the primary liaison with IT PMO and partner teams to review POA requests, resource demand needs, capitalization reporting needs, time tracking, and related project processes
  • Responsible for project scope management, status reporting, project plan development, release planning, communication and resource management
  • Provide coordination support for SDLC phases including functional design, development, user acceptance testing, deployment
  • Work with IT Ops and Engineering to align release paths, infrastructure and DevOps needs
  • Proactively manage risks with the project team and coordinate solution options for issues
  • Adhere to the agile/waterfall methodologies and ensure business and IT teams follow required processes and standards
  • Drive the change management process as part of scope management
  • Provide support to the development team for issue escalations, potential schedule impacts, resource changes
  • Budget Management including reporting on budget plan vs. actual, resource time tracking, capitalization management
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules
  • Develop standards, guidelines, and quality assurance processes

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree is preferred; or equivalent experience.
  • Training Requirements (licenses, Programs, Or Certificates)
  • PMP or related certifications preferred

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience including 2 years of data warehouse and BI experience in a large scale enterprise data warehouse environment
  • Must have solid understanding and working experience with the SDLC and agile methodology
  • Must have working experience on Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence concepts and framework
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines
  • This individual will apply the experiences in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given the time, budget and time constraints
  • This individual must work effectively with Staff to Senior Executive level employees within the function and across functions
  • Attention to detail and strong personal organizational skills and able to work in fast, paced, highly fluid environment
  • Ability to handle moderately complex projects involving integration with several systems
  • Track record of process improvement across various functions and disciplines

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to resolve complex business and technical issues
  • Ability to work, collaborate and lead a team to support deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of SQL and Technologies for EDW, ETL, and Reporting tools is a plus
  • Able to travel for project related meetings
