Cybersecurity Identity and Access Management Engineer

The HP Cybersecurity Dev/Ops Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating, testing, supporting and documenting, cybersecurity projects in support of HP's Identity and Access Management cybersecurity function. The position requires strong Unix/Linux administration skills, scripting skills and a very strong background in Java development and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with IAM (Identity and Access Management) team members to develop, integrate, implement and test the environments necessary to deploy, and support, a next generation IAM solution for HP contractors and partners.

Education and Experience Required

  • First Level University degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in software development using Object Oriented programming, data structures, algorithms
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity operations, Information Security or IT domains that have relatable experience.

Basic skillsets:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with team members across various functions and geographies
  • Effective at handling multiple possibly conflicting assignments at a time
  • Highly organized
  • High attention to detail/ability to work at a detailed level to identify and correct errors

Dev/Ops

  • Expert understanding of access controls and authentication mechanism
  • Expert background in Linux and Unix
  • Expert understanding of networking and virtual systems

  • Deep experience deploying systems for production use, configuring monitoring, and using system management utilities
  • Deep experience configuring, deploying and troubleshooting applications in LX/UX environments

  • Strong general system administration skills

Java

  • Proven experience developing server-side J2EE-based applications
  • Expert knowledge of Java-based frameworks (e.g. SPRING)
  • Knowledge of technology for restful, and distributed applications architectures
  • Experienced building and testing with Maven and Gradle
  • Strong Knowledge of web communications and protocols
  • Hands-on experience deploying apps to LX/UX based systems
  • Strong development experience with OSGI frameworks such as Apache Felix or Eclipse Equinox
  • Experience working with run time environments such as CARAF
  • Good understanding of the Agile software development process
  • Experience with object introspections and object programming using tools such as JMX and Relic
  • Experience with Test NG or Junit with a good understanding of test/model driven development
  • Experience with SVN and github
