Channel Communications and Events Lead

Within the Americas channel marketing organization, the channel communications and events lead will collaborate with other team members to help manage both the internal and external (Channel Partner) newsletters, as well as support team members with custom communications. Additional communications work may include supporting internal and channel partner communications regarding HP's Partner First Program, including program enhancement announcements, coordinating webinars, and more. Additionally, the communications and events lead will help manage HP's participation in channel focused events. This includes supporting strategic HP-led events as well as key industry events, including sponsorship, on-site activities and logistics, speakers, and more. Additional roles may include supporting other larger HP-led events, including HP Reinvent: World Partner Forum, HP Executive Forum, and and other industry and HP events.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage/edit content from various contributors for HP's channel-focused newsletters (internal and external versions)
  • Develop content for Channel newsletters on behalf of the Americas Channel Marketing team
  • Provide strategic counsel on channel partner communications plans
  • Support communications activities around HP's Partner First Program enhancements, including custom emails, webinars, and more

Manage HP's participation and/or provide support for channel-related and industry events, both on and offsite, as appropriate (including, but not limited to, strategic planning, content development, message development, keynote support, executive engagement, and more)

  • Work across channel marketing team/functions to develop/execute strategic partner communication and event initiatives

Skills Required:

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
  • 6+ years marketing/communication experience
  • Channel / IT industry experience preferred
  • Highly creative, self-motivated individual with drive, confidence, and the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with team members
  • Ability to apply subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills
  • Proven leadership with ability to manage and influence others
  • Results oriented, high energy, positive attitude, and well organized
  • Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management and functional disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills (internal & external)
