APJ Print Category Operations Manager

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationship with the HP APJ Category team and understand the needs of the various stakeholder groups
  • Align with stakeholders on business priorities and support needed to drive end business results
  • Work alongside with the team and be well versed with current state
  • Map out and plan futuristic planning and business intelligence roadmap and deliverables
  • Review current business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency or value add
  • Support small ad-hoc projects requiring analytics or planning
  • Ensure processes and rigor to maintain highest quality for the deliverables and ensure checks and balances are put in place
  • Own overall communications internally and externally for team related matters
  • Develop talent and groom skills within team members, inspire the team and enable the team to gain more experience and visibility / exposure to the business
  • Act as consultant and advisor to the team on individual work area and projects as needed


Education and Experience Required:
  • First level university degree in Business, Marketing, Technical or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years of working experience in any related area
  • 1-2 years of team leadership or people management experience


Knowledge and Skills:
  • Work with diverse stakeholders and address their data and business needs
  • Ability to connect the dots and triangulate information from different stakeholders and sources
  • Prior hands on experience in Reporting & Analysis of data is a plus
  • Fast learner and adaptable, ability to build business knowledge in short time
  • Requires minimal supervision - is a self-starter
  • Understanding of how to manage projects, set timelines and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal, representation and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with information or items as required
