A3 Contractual Presales Technical Consultant - Middle East & Turkey

HP Printing and Personal Systems is growing its imaging and printing solution-led business. Customers are moving from buying printers to engaging with vendors and service partners who can provide those services related to printing, copying, scanning and document workflow capabilities. Whilst the sales team will take responsibility for all business aspects of a sale, there is a requirement for sales-aware technical people who have the capability to understand a customer's IT environment and design an HP-based solution which will address document-related issues that have an impact on their business.

The consultant will:

  • Assist Channel Partners in Pre-Sales Situations leading to closure of Indirect Managed Print Services ("MPS") deals
  • Provide Indirect MPS Partner Sales Specialist with "Design to Win" proposal for the end customer, increasing our ability to win
  • Have the highest possible knowledge level of HP imaging and printing products, solutions and services as well as Industry standard solutions
  • Be the technical expert on all HP imaging and printing software and solutions: e.g., device management, network printing, multi-function printers, secure printing solutions and document capture and routing
  • Develop a country Solutions business plan by partner, focusing on key MPS benefits or vertical needs, in collaboration with Partner Sales Specialist
  • Act as the printing solutions and products expert for Partner Sales Specialist, delivering targeted training to contribute to developing HP solutions business
  • Work with Indirect MPS partners, 3rd Party developers and HP PPS Channel team to secure solution and services deals
  • Work with Indirect MPS partners to train and develop their technical consultants – so they can help build the Indirect MPS business and channel
  • Deliver the 'Hire a TC' service – to help partners sell and setup their Indirect MPS deals
  • Develops technical plans with the partner to improve funnel size and close rate with solutions

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong HP & Industry standard printing solutions technical knowledge
  • Strong HP printing products technical knowledge
  • Solid knowledge about MPS channel-landscape and Channel business models
  • Solid understanding of HP iMPS program offering
  • Broad market and competitor knowledge, especially on A3 products & channels
  • Thorough understanding of pipeline management discipline and ability to prioritize Technical consultancy to maximize deal closure (Return on Investment)
  • Partners effectively with Partner Sales Specialist and End User Sales (when applicable) to ensure coordinated efficient account management
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong communication skills at senior technical level
  • Excellent level of English language skills is required (oral & written)
