Brand Marketing Designer

We are looking for a talented Brand and Marketing Designer who is passionate about solving complex problems and creating smart and beautiful products. As a Brand and Marketing Designer at Houzz, you will:

  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centered design process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, marketing, community and experience teams to produce elegant design solutions
  • Juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations
  • Create web and/or interactive visual design executions that address business, brand, market, and user requirements
  • Create design deliverables for email, web pages, print collateral, environmental graphics and more


Given that we have a small, tightly knit design team here at Houzz, we are looking for candidates who are self-motivated that can work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience designing outstanding products
  • Strong sense of typography, composition, and conceptual thinking
  • High quality visuals from concept execution across many platforms
  • Skills across a broad range of media- print and web
  • Experience producing high-quality visual designs- from concept to product
  • Ability to present cohesive design approaches to a non-design audience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast- paced environment
  • Candidates must have a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, and be able to see the big picture
  • Understanding of branding as it relates to user experience
  • Superb ability to apply a brand's look and feel across web and mobile
  • Must have a strong portfolio featuring examples of branding and marketing graphic design work
  • A degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with marketing, video production, or infographics is a plus
