Full Stack Engineer

About Seasoned:

Seasoned is a recently launched, extremely well funded start-up that is focused on disrupting the high growth, high turnover food service industry.  Our goal is to continually improve the lives and livelihoods of the service industry professionals we serve with unmatched access to careers, content and connections.  The team is led by an experienced set of consumer technology veterans from LinkedIn, Lynda, Art.com and Home Away who have experience building rich, customer friendly experiences.

We’re a small, scrappy team that’s extremely focused and growing fast. We believe food and drink are one of the world's few universal joys and commit every day to improving the lives and livelihoods of those behind it

No other company seeks to create a place as diverse and dynamic as the industry we serve. With offices in Austin, TX and San Francisco, CA, we’re looking for people excited about being at the heart of how 10% of the American Workforce thrives.

Job Description + Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, we are looking to hire talented, motivated, and driven contributors with expertise in React, competency in at least one OO language, some DB experience (including RDMBS and NoSQL exposure).

Who you are:

-- You possess excellent Javascript skills. You can explain the evolution of Javascript over the past 3 years.

-- You have real-world experience building React/Redux applications.

-- You have real-world experience with a server-side, object-oriented language. Ideally this would be Java, but if you're strong in C++ or C# that can work too.

--You own your work end-to-end, i.e. you take responsibility for what you code, building the proper instrumentation and monitoring for what you code, and supporting that code if things go wrong.

-- You are a Full Stack Engineer, not a developer who "can" do some data layer stuff or "can" do some front-end stuff when required.

-- You feel a responsibility to your craft: you don't commit garbage or sloppy code; you believe in standards.

-- You enjoy collaborating and welcome constructive criticism.

-- You have a passion outside of your profession.

-- Oh, and a sense of humor is always welcome--if not required. 😃

What are we Doing?

We are building a professional and social network, providing a service to a critical, very large, and underserved, industry group.

Our stack is diverse: React, Redux, Java, Postgres, MongoDB, Neo4J, on AWS -- and we will be adding to it. Please be able to show capacity in several of these areas.

We have mobile apps, a desktop site, and are very data-driven (and becoming more so).
