Senior Revenue Accountant

We’re looking for an all star player to join our Revenue Accounting team.  This is a unique opportunity to ensure accurate and timely reporting of company wide revenues and build optimized processes to support scaling for future growth.

  • Manage monthly bookings and revenue reporting including preparing revenue related reconciliations and reporting schedules
  • Own the transactional level reconciliation between HotelTonight’s internal bookings database and our 3rd party credit card processors (this includes optimizing processes)
  • Build/launch an automated solution to reconcile transactional level data
  • Partner with cross functional teams including Product and Engineering to ensure processes and systems are in place to capture revenues and report in compliance with US GAAP
  • Perform other revenue related month-end close activities including, but not limited to, recording contra revenue, revenue reserves and sales tax accruals
  • Implement new changes to revenue GAAP standards
  • Record revenue related journal entries and manage g/l account structure
  • Be the point of contact for internal inquiries about customer payment issues (inbound payments)
  • Support audit process including preparing working papers, schedules and addressing inquiries
  • Assist in IPO readiness preparation
  • Tackle challenging ad-hoc projects


  • CPA or equivalent
  • 3-6 years relevant experience with Big 4 background (1-2 years of industry experience a plus!)
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a focus in Finance or Accounting
  • Working knowledge of US revenue GAAP
  • Experience navigating large data sets
  • Experience with automated payment solutions (scaling & optimizing)
  • SQL proficiency
  • Familiarity with Netsuite
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proven success in fast-paced, rapidly-changing environments
  • Quick learner, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
