Senior FP&A Analyst
HomeAway is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join it's team in London.
You will develop and require a deep understanding of the business in terms of partners, revenue, metrics, operating expense and capital as well as business processes and procedures. In this capacity, you will actively work with senior Regional management to identify, analyse and communicate current trends and most importantly their impact on forward-looking financial forecasts.
You will work throughout the regular forecast and budget processes as well as special projects as they arise. You will also work proactively with local accounting and business teams to share actual-budget variances, and with counterparts in Austin (global HQ) to ensure consistent, best-in-class financial processes are employed, leveraging Hyperion, our FP&A system, as well as Excel and Tableau.
You will drive the revenue, local OPEX and capital forecasting and budgeting process. being a valuable partner to budget owners and working cross-functionally with regional and global stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and quality forecast. Finally you will drive efficiencies in the Finance organization by identifying process deficiencies, offering viable and scalable solutions and driving cross-departmental collaboration to implement those solutions.
You have obviously advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with experience in both creating models from scratch as well as enhancing existing models. You have experience handling and analyzing large amounts of complex data and are able to synthesize into actionable recommendations and solutions. Also, you have a solid and proven experience forecasting a P&L and managing to budget for a corporate or business unit level.
You have experience with OLAP based financial planning software such as Hyperion, Adaptive Planning, Cognos, or Clarity. But you also have a general understanding of local statutory accounting processes and concepts as well as key similarities and differences to US GAAP accounting.
You are comfortable with working in an entrepreneurial organization where processes are not always well-defined due to the fast-paced business environment which requires adjustments and flexibility; experience of working in a matrix organization would be a plus.
You know how to work independently with little oversight and are used to meeting tight deadlines in high pressure situations.
You are used to handling multiple priorities and managing diplomatically the interests of different stakeholders.
You are at ease working with senior leaders and doing presentations at an executive level.
You take leadership and ownership beyond your area of responsibility, driving the business strategically and improving productivity and efficiency by connecting the dots across the various functions.
You should have several years of relevant work experience.
