Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking an ambitious Marketing Coordinator to join HomeAway and support our Stayz and HomeAway Australia brands.

The Marketing Coordinator is focused on supporting both traveller and supplier initiatives including email communications, social media content development and monitoring and internal communications. This person will also assist with a wide variety of other marketing programs and events focused on supporting the needs of our internal and external customers. This role requires passion and creativity as well as excellent written communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently and alongside others, interacting with executives as well as sales, marketing, customer experience and tech team members.

Primary responsibilities:

-Coordinate the implementation of marketing communication activity including (but not limited to) email and social media

-Work with brand and trade marketing managers to plan and execute online and offline marketing programs, projects and campaigns for customer acquisition and retention

-Participate in developing content and coordinating trade and PR events

-Proactively monitor and participate in our social media outlets

-Develop internal communications content on a regular basis

-Assist in the development of trade marketing sales collateral

-Continuously refine tracking mechanisms to determine the efficacy of various marketing activities

-Assist with customer research through surveys and/or interviews

-Assist in writing digital and non-technical email marketing content

-Coordinate the production of various marketing materials

-Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks


Required qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field

-Strong and effective written, editing and verbal communication skills

-Effective project management skills

-Previous experience creating marketing communications, planning events and/or producing online content

-Familiarity and interest with the new media space (blogs, podcasts, social networks)

-Experience managing B2C or B2B web or print marketing material production

-Talent for problem-solving and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

-Strong work ethic, self-starter and self-accountable

-Focus on quality and fine attention to detail

-Passionate, excited  and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly dynamic and rapidly growing environment

Nice to have:

-2+ years of experience at an internet-related company

-Experience with Google Analytics and/or content management systems

-Experience planning events (logistics, marketing, budget management)

-Experience within the eCommerce industry a strong plus
