Global Payments Risk Analyst

The Payments Fraud Analyst will be responsible for overseeing payment transactions between vacation rental property owners or managers and travelers. This role will identify, report and take appropriate action when fraud or money laundering activities are suspected. The Payments Fraud Analyst will also report trends, work closely with other departments, including Billing, Trust and Security, Finance and Product, all with the focus to manage and report fraud losses while adhering to key performance indicators. This role will report directly to the Director of Global Risk Management Solutions.

- Monitor and evaluate Customer’s transactional behavior, taking immediate preventive measures to mitigate the risk of fraudulent and money laundering activity waged against the company;
- Utilize detection tools to identify and action fraud or money laundering activities;
- Adapt to a constantly evolving know your customer and money laundering methodology;
- Act as a liaison with the Risk Analytics and Trust and Security teams regarding fraud patterns to mitigate risk;
- Distinguish between high and low priority situations;
- Ensure all AML and suspicious activities are recorded through various systems, partners and regulatory requirements;
- Achieve individual goals, based on quantitative and qualitative standards;
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.


- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the financial services, banking institution or an online payments provider or any Internet-based company will be considered an advantage
- Expert knowledge of the online payments industry will be viewed as a plus
- Ability to multitask within a fast paced environment
- Effective reporting skills
- Confidence to make decisions with limited information
- Self-directed and results-focused
- Proficient MS Office (especially Excel) and SQL
- Knowledge of money-laundering prevention as well as related legal aspects
- Advanced skills in reporting and data analysis
- Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility
