The Business Analyst within the Global Sales Operations(GSO) team is responsible for enabling, troubleshooting, and optimizing sales tools and technology at HomeAway. In this role, you will be providing Business Analyst end-to-end support for our sales team which includes process mapping,requirements gathering, use case creation, testing, and end user adoption.  The Business Analyst role will be supporting high impact initiatives and proposing sound technology improvements to ultimately move the needle for HomeAway’s sales team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the global sales team to understand the sales process and technology utilized to develop enhancements that drive improvements
  • Develop robust user stories to ensure stakeholder needs are communicated to IT
  • Own the closed loop communication between stakeholders and IT
  • Identify business challenges and define solutions
  • Partner with other business analysts to understand system bugs and define long term solutions for sustained improvement          
  • Attend product launch meetings and represent the global sales operations team
  • Attend and fully participate in daily stand ups,scrum meetings, agile ceremonies to help deliver technology changes for sales
  • Key Areas:
    • System implementation: end to end business analyst duties; participate in development process through creating requirements, user stories, test plans, and testing; develop and maintain system documentation
    • Support users: system troubleshooting; drive awareness of system functions; train on new features
    • Project management: take complex business analyses and projects from conception to completion; interpret stakeholder goals and develop key initiatives and roadmap for sales organization and systems; prioritize projects and execute based on agreed deliverables
    • Reporting and analytics: develop reports and dashboards in the CRM; provide ad-hoc data analysis; utilize data to help define and measure project success

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years in a business analyst role, preferably in a sales organization
  • Administration and/or configuration experience with complex CRMs, preferably
  • Understanding of CRM capabilities including configuration and custom development
  • Experience working in an agile framework for software development
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.  SQL experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Technology or Business
  • administration certification is a plus
