Job Title: Associate Creative Director (ACD) - London
Do you regularly obsess about what makes people love a brand and how to bring that to life in fresh and innovative ways? GCS is seeking an experienced ACD to lead our London-based creative team, where you will help to generate award-winning ideas that drive business results, inspire the company’s marketing efforts across channels, and cultivate an environment where creatives can do their best work. You’ll use our “test & learn” approach to generate break-thorough creative. In short, you ensure that the brand puts itself out there in best way possible that performs. 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Creative & Content Marketing, you will collaborate as part of the creative leadership team responsible for supporting core marketing priorities. You will take the lead on a wide variety of creative initiatives, working with your creative partners and direct reports to breakthrough ideas and executions while infusing the studio with creative energy stemming from your many intellectual and artistic endeavors.

Responsibilities: 
Creative
Work alongside the creative leadership to develop creative concepts and directions for marketing materials, campaigns and multiple projects, using your impeccable taste and innovative mindset to make conceptual and stylistic recommendations and decisions. 

Create mockups, prototypes and pitches to illustrate and “sell in” your ideas to team members and leadership. 

Oversee multiple creative projects at one time, successfully managing them from inception through to execution. 

Be a discerning creative judge and advocate for great work, ensuring that the standard of output is both creatively outstanding and effective, but also adheres consistently to required brand guidelines.

Maintain a clearly articulated POV on all our work. Have an agenda and be hungry to transform the world. 

Receive, manage, and respond appropriately to feedback from colleagues, research, and others.

See beyond the data and PowerPoint briefing decks to find the creative spark in every project that drives creatives to do their best work. 

Embrace a "House of Science" approach, incorporating analytics and learnings into creative for big business wins.

Management
Mentor and develop a growing team of creatives with the support and structure they need to be individually and collectively successful. 

Maintain exceptional relationships across the business with those who create, deploy and/or utilize our creative including marketing, product, engineering, CMS and business intelligence teams. 

Be a talent magnet. Help us attract the best people externally, consistently raise the bar creatively and hold people accountable for excellence. 

Conduct weekly creative reviews globally, critiquing work to make it better.

Qualifications:

Several years of progressive responsibility in a design, advertising, entertainment or visual arts environment, at least some of which were in a leadership role on a major consumer brand with a strong digital presence.

Serious creative chops across a variety of media and formats including but not limited to short- and long-form video; mobile and app; email; display; print; packaging; environmental and events. 

You have a diverse portfolio of creative that gets people talking. 

Experience overseeing a creative and/or design team of at least 10+. Bonus points if the team was interdisciplinary, including copy, design and engineering. 

Native understanding of the web and core digital marketing channels including social media platforms; able to speak intelligently about why creative on those platforms becomes popular. 

Facility with a wide variety of creative technologies, including but not limited to Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Video (FCP, Premier, After Effects, HTML5); CMS (WordPress, Jahia); front end development languages (HTML, Javascript, CSS); and the social web. Able to conceive, visualize and build end-to-end digital creative. Excellent presentation skills and story-telling ability; persuasive, able to sell ideas and speak with gravitas. Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience required.
