Advertising Operations Specialist

Opportunity:


As the Advertising Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing advertising campaigns delivered on HomeAway digital properties including web, and mobile.  This role actively contributes to the success of the global advertising sales team, ensuring full delivery and performance for our advertising client’s campaigns in order to meet revenue goals.


We are looking for an advertising operations professional who has strong technical skills in the space, and can be a point person on technical issues that may arise with ad campaigns.  


Responsibilities:


Trafficking and Post-Sale Implementation

-Traffic campaigns according to insertion orders for display and mobile in our ad server (Google DoubleClick for Publishers)

-Responsible for collection of assets from client

-Communicate with client via phone for kick-off calls, or via email for creative and tag requests

-Test creatives prior to campaign launch to ensure proper display, click-through, and functionality

-Troubleshoot creative and tag issues 

-Provide technical QA support on standard and custom executions


Campaign Management

-Manage individual advertising campaigns from official sales hand off to final and full delivery of campaign

-Monitor pacing and delivery, run reports on a weekly basis, and provide insights to campaign successes and optimization needs

-Work with sales and sales planners to create optimization strategies to meet clients’ KPI requirements 

-Problem solve under-performing ads, and provide recommendations to improve


Reporting

-Provide weekly reports and status updates on individual campaigns to the sales and planning team

-Provide ad-hoc reports upon request and in order to perform deep analysis on campaign performance

-Provide final reports, reconcile your assigned campaigns and work with the ad operations manager and finance on monthly reconciliation and billing process


Additional responsibilities include

-Trafficking tags for network, exchanges, SSPs, and sales rep houses

-Running inventory wide reports, and other ad-hoc duties as needed related to advertising operations

-Ownership of advertising operations related projects (outside of trafficking and campaign management) that assist with the success of the advertising team

-Assistance in ad unit maintenance and product/package creation in DFP and DSM


Qualifications:


-2-4 years of experience in advertising operations

-Knowledge of online ad technology landscape

-Experience working with display advertising campaigns on the publisher side trafficking and campaign management

-Must have a strong technical skill set when it comes to implementing and troubleshooting tags.  Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, etc.

-Working knowledge of Charles, or other debugging tools 

-Experience implementing first party and third party audience segments

-Excellent written and verbal skills

-Must be highly organized with great attention to detail, and excellent follow-through

-Must have a proactive and can-do attitude 

-Ability to work with numbers, and data, and interpret results to make strategic decisions around campaign optimization

-Excellent Excel skills 

-Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment

-Proficient in Google DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) 

-Experience with additional Google advertising suite of products a plus (Google DSM, Google Analytics, Google Ad Exchange)
