The HomeAway Analytics and Data Insights team is looking for a technically skilled analyst to join our team. This role requires an individual with both excellent analytical abilities and a deep knowledge of performance marketing, especially programmatic marketing.  The successful candidate will be a key partner to Marketing and Product teams, and will use his or her outstanding business acumen, data analytics and statistics experience to develop insights that can materially improve our marketing investment decisions.

What will you do?

  • Partner with Product and Marketing managers to address complex business questions and provide insightful analysis through strong storytelling capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Be a HomeAway data guru for programmatic marketing – a point of contact for data questions and insights on our programmatic data model, including integration with key vendors and marketing partners

  • Identify and scope new A/B/multivariate testing opportunities based on both internal and external data to improve test instrumentation, data infrastructure and monitoring

  • Partner with the Technology and Engineering groups to ensure continuous improvement of data collection and underlying data systems

  • Turn data-based observations and insights into hypotheses, through analyses and data mining

  • Present findings and visualize data to a wide range of stakeholders

What will you bring?

  • Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or Econometrics)

  • Passion for number crunching and logical problem solving

  • Analytical work experience in digital marketing, especially programmatic marketing, preferred

  • SQL: expert-level required for data querying

  • Tableau or other enterprise data visualization: intermediate-level preferred

  • R or Python or Scala: intermediate experience preferred

  • Clickstream data exposure, preferably with experience in extracting from BigQuery and Google Analytics

  • Big Data Stack (Hive, Hadoop, Spark) preferred

  • A/B testing experience and/or statistical methodology application

  • Marketing Mix modelling and/or Digital Attribution experience

  • Office suite (PowerPoint, Outlook): intermediate-level required

  • Business Modeling (Excel): beginner-level required

  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Must be fluent in English
