WordPress Developer - mHelpDesk

mHelpdesk is seeking a Wordpress Developer to deliver high quality, modern WordPress content and landing pages to showcase our dynamic, fast-growing field service management platform. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices).

As a top candidate for this role, you will have a passion for building effective, forward thinking, creative website experiences that engage service professionals and showcase our brand. You should have a strong understanding of conversion techniques, industry trends, content management systems, tag management systems and optimization tools. You will work with a team of marketers and designers to bring the best web experience to life. You should have extensive experience with end-to-end website creation, from creating visual designs to developing modern websites, always with responsive in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and design to develop best-in-class websites, using WordPress and other leading CMS tools
  • Use latest web development techniques and standards, to create for all types of devices
  • Optimize existing online content for design best practices, SEO best practices, and performance
  • Help formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme
  • Design and implement new designs, landing pages, features and functionality
  • Establish and guide the website and blog's architecture
  • Ensure high performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS, website and landing pages
  • Publish effective forms to capture and convert web traffic into sales opportunities

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in web design and development
  • A hunger for web design and development that sparks creative problem solving
  • An understanding of WordPress theme creation, including taxonomies, page templates and best practices
  • An appreciation for modern development techniques
  • Experience with responsive and mobile design techniques
  • Experience working with marketing and design staff
  • A passion for UI/UX and streamlined ecultiommerce websites
  • Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A desire to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
