Responsibilities:

  • Develop expert-level knowledge of a wide variety of business processes through in-depth understanding of data sources, processes that generate data and best practices for interpretation and usage of organizational information
  • Analyze a variety of data sources to provide insight into opportunities
  • Utilize data expertise to recommend appropriate analysis goals and methodology in the absence of specific business requirements
  • Provide analytical and reporting support to the greater organization as needed for specific projects
  • Develop and manage recurring reporting to monitor trends across departments and initiatives
  • Work closely with business unit management to ensure reporting outputs are actionable and aligned with that team's initiatives
  • Create and distribute ad-hoc spreadsheet-based data manipulation tools to assist business stakeholders in measuring initiatives and improving business decisions
  • Identify gaps in data availability, and assist in monitoring of data hygiene/accuracy

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in Finance, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Consulting, Business Reporting & Analysis, Sales Reporting & Analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Finance, Economics, Business, or Information Technology discipline preferred
  • Extensive experience retrieving and analyzing large amounts of data utilizing multiple data sources
  • Extensive experience in creating reporting for various business units
  • Intermediate-level SQL skills in an enterprise-level environment required; experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or DB2 a plus
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Ability to communicate data-driven recommendations in a concise manner to a widely varied audience, in terms of both organizational level and analytical sophistication
  • Strong collaboration skills including effective verbal, written and graphical communications
  • Superior customer service skills demonstrating a high level of responsiveness, with the ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve reporting/analysis issues
  • Adept at managing and prioritizing multiple projects and requests simultaneously, in a fast-paced and frequently-changing environment
  • Direct experience with BI tools (i.e. Cognos) and/or visualization tools (Tableau, Domo) a plus
  • Familiarity with / exposure to basic scripting languages, (i.e. JavaScript, PowerShell) greatly preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce greatly preferred
