Hiya has grown to nearly 150 employees spread throughout the US and Europe with offices in Seattle, London, and Budapest, and we need a thoughtful, strategic, and experienced VP of People to lead our global HR, recruiting, and facilities functions as we continue to grow and scale. In this role, you will report to the President, with a dotted line to the CEO, and will partner with and serve as a member of the senior leadership team. Leading a cross-functional team whose work touches all aspects of the business, you understand the importance of a well-developed and intentional processes to support the hiring, onboarding, and growth of all Hiyans.

What will you do:

  • Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to the Executive & Operating Leadership Teams to build a world-class culture and successfully implement strategic solutions that support business growth, employee engagement, and retention
  • Lead the organization to deliver best-in-class people operations – including recruiting and retention, performance management and development, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, and employee relations
  • Oversee the fundamental aspects of HR, including compensation, benefits, and HR systems, with an understanding and appreciation for varying cultural norms and regulatory practices around the world

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ years relevant HR experience including recruiting, employee relations, and organizational development, with prior experience managing a human resources team with an international scope
  • 7+ years prior management experience leading HR teams, and ideally recruiting teams as well
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior business leaders, managers, and peers. You are a strong influencer and collaborator
  • High energy, high empathy, and clearly a cultural champion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deeply responsible and accountable
  • A precise attention to detail while maintaining context of the big picture
  • Ability to dive deep into your team’s processes and problems and you manage using data
