Job Description

Position : Sales Specialist

Line Manager : Marketing & Sales Manager, Grid Integration

Mission Statement:

Responsible for sales of products and systems within the electric power grid market in accordance with sales strategy. Main customers are domestic companies (General Contractors, Electrical subcontractors Trading house, Industrial owners and EPCs), domestic/foreign developers, domestic/foreign EPCs associated with renewable energy (PV Solar / Battery Storage / On-shore wind/ Off-shore wind)

Export projects (ODA, JICA, JCM) will be also our new targeting segment starting in 2020.

Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities.

Main Accountabilities:

1. Volume and profit

Sells products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.

2. Customer relations

Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

3. Sales plans

Prepare sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

4. Sales

Creates added value proposal for the customer and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy's offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).

5. Marketing

Ensures efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.

6. New market opportunities

Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.

7. Administration

Manages administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed.

-HV Substation solution (more than 66kV)

-Switchgear (GIS), Main Transformer and MV Switchgear at substation

-Protection, Control and Monitoring (IED)

-Power Quality (STATCOM)

-Off-shore wind

-Steel Industry

-Semiconductor

-Data Center

-Renewable (PV, Battery Storage System)

Requirements:

-Sales experience in power/T&D industry segment

-Experience in renewable, Data Center, industrial and power utility market in Japan.

-Experience in utilizing SFDC

-Products knowledge

+ HV Grid substation covering GIS, transforming, MV and protection and control

+ Electric energy management system

-Business level English / Native level Japanese

-Bachelor's or master's degree majored in engineering (Electrical background is a Plus)
