Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Product Manager - eMobility based in Europe.
Hitachi Energy's eMobility portfolio encompasses power cabinets, electrical interfaces and digital services that enable efficient and convenient DC fast charging (DCFC) for electric vehicles to target market segments. The offering is playing an important role in enabling the transition toward sustainable transportation for our customer through high-performance charging infrastructure.
As part of a Global Product Management team, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the eMobility offering to target market segments, by developing and managing the portfolio through its life cycle phases, according to market needs, the business strategy and targets.

Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the entire product life cycle for the portfolio (e.g., hardware, software etc.) the current/future organizational strategy and objectives.
- Leads the market intelligence analysis, identifies key market trends and opportunities for portfolio innovation/enhancements both against competition and new market opportunities.
- Uses market feedback to evaluate product functionality and drives present/future product via a portfolio roadmap (e.g. new developments, enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs) and makes decisions on end-of life to meet market requirements and maximize profitability.
- Prioritizes new portfolio development projects with responsibility for achievement of targets () and coordinating cross- functional teams.
- Prioritizes and oversees product development liaising with cross functional teams based on a sound business case. Responsible for market/technical requirements (e.g. product characteristics, time, costs, capital expenditure, pay-back). Owns and approves defined portfolio development process stage gates, where applicable.
- Defines value proposition per segment/channel to drive a clear portfolio positioning by defined customer values to enable an effective marketing strategy.
- Initiates and supports a product marketing strategy, including product launch planning and implementation.
- Continuously develops product management processes and tools (e.g. configurators, training, product documents, product lifecycle management) to support to other key functions in the organization.
- Initiates and drives cross functional and cross-organization product and solution innovation teams, monitors development of all standards and market trends and provides inputs to Research & Development (R&D) for patent screening process and intellectual property rights protection.
- Acts as interface between external market and internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations and Research & Development), forecasting volume trends on a regular basis to ensure Operations functions (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) capability to fulfil customer orders.

Your background:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Post graduate qualification in Marketing, Strategy and/or Business (e.g. MBA) preferred.
- 5-10 years' experience in product marketing, product management and/or product technology in a technology-based organization.
- Proven ability to directly and/or indirectly lead cross-functional/cross-cultural teams across different geographies and time-zones.
- Experience in the DC Fast Charging industry preferred.
- Experience with power electronics-based product and/or system offering preferred.
- Strong understanding of industrial hardware and software development processes.
- Good understanding of EV markets, customers, competition, offering, standards and capabilities preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational business environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously manage multiple priorities and internal/external stakeholders.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills with a capacity to bridge technology and business stakeholders.
- Some level of client-facing experience preferred.
- Passion for sustainability and driving positive environmental impact through innovative solutions.
- High level of fluency in English.
