The VLSI physical design team is responsible for the definition, design, and implementation of HPE’s next generation ASICs. Our designs are built to meet timing, power, and manufacturability requirements. The team consists of persons strong in both automated and custom circuit design methodologies. We leverage industry standard tools and invent new methodologies to meet the pressing demands of today’s cutting edge ASICs.
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. You must have completed the second year of engineering studies, although the completion of third year is preferred.
The ideal candidates would have the following experience/knowledge:
- Coursework in EE fundamentals, digital logic, computer architecture
- Coursework or knowledge of a programming or scripting language in a UNIX environment
- Coursework in VLSI design or VLSI concepts
- Fluency in English along with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a team oriented environment is essential
- Enjoy learning and working on hardware
