Threat (Malware/Exploit) Research Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for Threat research Engineer who will be closely working with

the Security Analytics team by analyzing the latest malware, ransomware and

viruses to determine the behavioral aspects of how they manifest and spread

laterally.

Responsibilities:

  • Download malware and ransomware to a restricted test environment and study its behavior
  • Document the behavior, collect packet traces, registry changes and other behavioral changes across the network
  • Work with the Analytics and Data Science team in studying this behavior in a large data set
  • Write reports for internal and external audiences about new malwares and exploits

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 10+ years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ Years experience working with Malware and Exploits
  • Experience conducting threat research focused on malware
  • Scripting in Python or equivalent

Bonus points

  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistics
  • Experience writing blogs
  • Understand Active Directory Events
