Test Lead - Real Time Location Systems (RTLS)

The Healthcare Organization of HP is seeking a Real Time Location Systems Test Lead.


The RTLS Test Lead is responsible supporting the Test Manager and RTLS staff in meeting or exceeding contract service objectives. The RTLS National Program will provide our Military Healthcare customer with sufficient and appropriate testing to enable acceptance of the RTLS solution. This Individual will interface with multiple levels of the HPES RTLS organization as well as the client organization, to coordinate the activities necessary to successfully plan, prepare, communicate, and execute testing services


Assist in the creation of local Test Plans and scripts to be used for facility level testing efforts

Develop Governance plans for local facilities based on national Governance plan

Coordinate and track testing efforts at the facility level, and provide feedback on testing status.

Travel to and execute testing at facilities on an as needed basis

Develop testing estimates in partnership with site leads and program leadership

Work with internal and external teams to coordinate testing efforts across multiple levels of test

Ensure commitments are delivered on time, to specification and with quality

Proactively act to understand various testing efforts required and provide test strategies, plans and guidance to local facility testers

Monitor and report on progress of test process as well as test planning and execution

Mentor and provide guidance on test practices to improve efficiency, speed and quality of implementation

Communicate frequently with teams through group meetings and individual sessions, ensuring issues/input are heard and addressed

Manage defects/problems documentation and works to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to management

Analyzes test results and effectively communicates findings in writing and verbally

Develops and updates System Testing documentation in an efficient and timely manner according to departmental standards and procedures

Assist in the creation/coordination of test data availability

Make assignments of testing tasks and testers

Collect and facilitate the creation of testing metrics

Define testing environment needs and ensure delivery from clients, partners and internal teams


Bachelor’s or Master’sdegree, or certifications, or equivalent work experience preferred


Using software qualityassurance tools and processes

Software testingmethodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, andtesting scripts and tools

Strong analytical andproblem solving skills

Experience with design forsoftware and firmware running on multiple platform types

Excellent written andverbal communication skills to effectively communicate product architectures,design proposals and negotiate options at management levels

Strong self-directed workstyle; works independently and/or in a team with little or no supervision

Ability to effectivelymulti-task

Experience working withina virtual environment

Experience testingbusiness processes

Strong knowledge of TestMethodologies and best practices

Wide experience inselection and implementation of test tools

Must be a US Citizen or aUS Permanent Resident

Preferred experience /skills:

Experience with HP EDGEprocesses

Military Healthcareexperience and/or credentials

Experience testingsoftware, hardware, and business process

Experience with IBMtesting tools or HP testing tools
