Technical Writer

HPE Security’s ArcSight Logger is the log management andhigh-speed search solution that works with ArcSight Enterprise SecurityManagement (ESM), the industry leading Security Information and EventManagement (SIEM) platform that provides real-time threat detection, incidentanalysis, and response for enterprise networks.

As a member of Arc Sight’s information development team forLogger in Costa Rica, you will apply your excellent English and concisecommunication style to deliver end-user documentation for security experts in afast-paced Agile-based development environment. You will exercise your capacityto quickly understand concepts and translate them into what users need to know,when they need to know it, in a way that provides immediate understanding andexpertise. You will be part of a coordinated, high performing team of technicalcommunicators who share your commitment to providing an optimum userexperience. You will be actively involved with development teams at all phasesof feature design and production.

Responsibilities:

Develop high quality documentation for security experts andIT professionals

Coordinate and collaborate with developers, QA, otherwriters, product management, and professional services to collect information,ensure timely doc reviews, and meet project deadlines

Attend team scrums, participate in cross-functional teammeetings, and follow an Agile-based process for project tracking

Document installation and upgrade procedures by installingand upgrading the product on virtual machines

As needed, actively participate with UI and UX designers toprovide workflow reviews and text input to UI development

Skills:

Excellent English in both verbal and written communication

Ability to learn and apply new technical skills quickly

Ability to take initiative and be assertive to obtaintimely input and reviews, and establish rapport with developers

Ability to work effectively with remote teams andcoordinate with local teams

Ability to understand and apply topic-based authoringskills are a bonus.

Required Experience:

5 years of experience writing documentation for enterprisesoftware products

Professionally trained technical communicator and/or ademonstrated track record of writing technical documentation for enterprisecustomers

Familiarity with MadCap Flare or similar topic-basedauthoring environment

Familiarity with version control and bug tracking systems

Familiarity installing and configuring software systems onWindows and Unix-based operating systems.
