TechnicalSupport Engineer Avaya
The Engineer serves as a Tier 1& 2 Avaya Converged Technologies Engineer. This will involve Supporting andmaintaining the entire Avaya converged network and the adjuncts associated to TDM/VOIPtechnologies Avaya/Red Voice/IP Engineer to provide Support services,Break/Fix, MACD and Administrative support..
Candidate will possess a broadtechnical knowledge of analog, digital and VoIP voice services; IP networking;and data service provision. Require an Avaya Voice Engineer withextensive Avaya Aura product know.
Candidate will be highly experiencedin providing excellent customer service and problem escalation/resolution.
Proficient inmaintenance of Avaya communication systems including IP/SIP Systems, TDM basedtechnologies and converged technologies
Provides customerwith remote support regarding Avaya Aura Communication Manager, Avaya SessionManager, Avaya System Manager, MediaServers; G650, G450, G4430 MediaGateways, IP Office, Avaya provisioning software and IP networking.
Provides customerwith remote support regarding AES, VoicePortal, CMS, Experience Portal
Ability todiagnose trouble on T-1 circuits; ISDN/PRI, ISDN/BRI, E&M TIE, DID
Ability totroubleshoot IP/SIP telephony issues
Ability to supportvarious IP and SIP end points and trunks
Work withengineers to troubleshoot complex customer issues involving VOIP and otherconverged technologies
Troubleshootconnectivity issues to peripheral/adjunct equipment such as CMS/IR/VoicePortal/EMMC/AES /Avaya Aura Conferencing.
Understanding of Call Centers; able to edit vectors toadjust Call Center productivity
Interface with other vendors ie Carrier Service providers,3rd party manufacturers
Repairs and troubleshoots customer service orders
Performs moves, adds and changes for customers when needed
Provides high level of customer service when responding to acustomer request or fulfilling project requirements
Ability to work effectively with co-workers and fulfillcustomer requests
Ability to clearly define and explain technical issues
Will be required to be on call Willing to learn newtechnologies and new product
Professional English language skills are required; written,spoken and comprehension skills Able to work in a global team environment
Bachelors degreein a technical field; Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, ComputerScience, or equivalent related technical experience.
1-3 years minimumworking with Avaya related products and services
Advancednetworking experience with IP and SIP applications
Ability totroubleshoot network and assign IP addresses
Voice Messaging;Avaya Aura Messaging, Modular Messaging
Extensive systemadministration experience in Avaya technology on the following platforms:Communication Manager, Session Manager, System Manager, AES, CMS,
Modular Messagingand Vector routing
A generalunderstanding or experience in voice platform peripherals and how they connectto voice infrastructure (such as IVR, CTI, Dialers, call recording and othervoice applications)
Strongcommunication skills required
Understanding ofQoS (Quality of Service) and the OSI model
Strong knowledgeof Operating Systems Linux and MicrosoftWindows familiarity with command Line
Knowledge in DataBases Manage, Language programming (optional)
Understanding ofAVAYA product line and related technology
VOICE, IPtelephony, SIP and Nortel company
