Systems Engineer (TS/SCI FS Poly Required)

Job Description:

Work within an agile team, designing, improving and developing applications. Work with new and existing customers to clarify customer needs and modify those needs. Assist with documentation based on changes made within the applications. Use hands on experience with Microsoft hardware and software in support of our customer to prioritize their needs.

Use ability to apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and be regarded by others within HP as a subject matter expert in the area of Systems Engineering. Work on complex problems or projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of multiple factors. Regularly exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Lead and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Provide mentoring and guidance to employees at lower job levels. Act as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represent the organization to external customers/clients. Implement the detailed technical design solution to the problem as identified by the Project/Technical Manager. Often responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Hands on experience with MS Windows 2008 R2 server and Server 2012
  • Must have a current Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance with FS Poly
  • Windows Engineering with Citrix or Citrix administration experience.
  • Citrix Certified Administer for XenApp, XenServer, and XenDesktop.
  • Blade Storage Concepts
  • MS Hyper-V
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Solid troubleshooting skills
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Ability to self-learn, act on own initiative and work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in individually as well as in a team environment
  • 3 years of professional experience
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study or 3 additional years of experience

Desired Experience:

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • MCSE/MCITP a plus
