Storage System Test Engineer

Your key tasks

  • Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs, primarily for end users
  • Writes code and completes programming by using current programming language & technologies
  • Performs testing and debugging of applications
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
  • May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
  • Effectively communicates product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels
  • Collaborates with peers, junior engineers, technicians and external design partners
  • Typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers and Program Core Teams
  • Leads a project requiring software applications development


  • Experienced in Storage Domain, and with system test strategy, design and execution expertise
  • Very good Knowledge of SCSI, FC, iSCSI and SAS protocols
  • Knowledge of host environments Windows, VMware
  • Good knowledge of Block storage and features of a block storage system


  • Responsible to define test strategy. Define the test approach and test design
  • Excellent knowledge of Storage Domain, and in depth knowledge of usage scenarios. Ability to translate this into test.
  • Defines and leads initiatives to improve product quality and operational efficiency
  • Mentors team members, leads by example of being a team player
  • Communicates with executives on plans, updates, root cause analysis etc. Very good communication skills. Ability switch from high level executive summary to in depth technical analysis
  • Works with the development team as their trusted partner
  • Hands on technical person

What do we expect?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Knowledge in software applications design tools
  • Abilities in programming languages
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written & spoken)
