Job Description:

  • The Storage Solutions GTM Manager serves in a global position but must work closely with the Product Management team, key functions, the regions and key customers/partners and therefore must be able to create value through both direct and indirect team-building.
  • Develops go-to-market strategy for the Converged Solutions Portfolio business in support of strategy to drive Hybrid IT and converged solutions.
  • Develops specific growth and activation plans for distribution, reseller, service provider and SI community for key solutions.
  • Manages cross-functional, cross-organizational teams in the development of RTM strategy and GTM programs and plans associated with key solutions. Provides communications to facilitate projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Leverages customer and channel partner engagement to support business priorities.
  • Develops recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance across various RTM.
  • Consults with business executives on RTM/GTM issues related to strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
  • Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise (GTM/RTM/Storage) which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.
  • Establishes a network through existing partner/customer events and forums to obtain comprehensive view of the type of solutions customers and channel partners require.
  • Identifies and cultivate solutions from current successful use cases, provide input to Product Management and Marketing for future solutions development
  • Develops and implement all relevant sales GTM plans and programs working closely with the Product Marketing team to support the development of collateral and assets related to solution selling.
  • Responsible for designing and updating key sales programs and enablement strategies to drive pipeline and revenue. Leader will plan in collaboration with Product Management, Marketing and Presales/ & Enablement teams.
  • Ensure the development of a structured dashboard that highlights key metrics, milestones and ability to course correct based on Storage Solution sales performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to identify market segments, positioning, competitors, value proposition aligning with go-to market strategy.
  • Proactively work with field Sales Leadership & Business Development team in achieving sales targets.

  • Excellent program management skills, including program development and structuring and managing multiple work streams independently. Ability to coordinate many simultaneous projects/activities, while keeping stakeholders updated on schedules and timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to logically plan and set priorities, identify and resolve problems to product measurable results.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines, both within and outside HPE.
  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge across multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies. Capable of completely financial modeling.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence. Build, manage and influence virtual teams.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft marketing materials - including presentations, sales guides and field/partner facing material.

In addition, for this role, the successful candidate will require the following:

  • Education and Experience Required:
  • University or Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Typically 8-12 years of marketing experience with hardware, software and services offerings.
  • Often 4-7 years post advanced degree experience leading projects, deals, and company financial improvement initiatives in key RTM areas.
  • 10+ years sales facing experience with compute and/or networking technologies in area of regional product management, GTM strategy, field enablement, channel and/or sales a plus
    • 5+ years experience leading global initiatives and strategy.
  • Provide strategic insight to Global Business Unit/Function executive management.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by providing regular updates at the Director, VP and SVP as appropriate
  • Build financially sound, executable, data-driven business strategies that improve Hewlett-Packard Enterprise shareholder value.
  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives that improve Hewlett-Packard Enterprise profitability focused on Storage Solutions
  • Balance short term with long term GTM planning and resource investment to support the Storage Solutions portfolio.
