The Global Payroll Process Management Team

The Global Payroll Process Management team (GPPM) is in charge of bringing our Payroll processes to world class efficiency, quality, ease of business and compliance. Together with our partners from HR/Benefits, IT and Finance,

we have successfully implemented payroll and time process and system transformations in ADP and Workday for over 27 countries, making significant progress on our transformation roadmap. In the past several years this team also successfully managed two system separations and is currently managing a third.

The global payroll process manager will drive continuous improvement in the delivery of world class payroll processing to HPE employees worldwide by working closely with operations management team and key business partners to help identify and enable operational efficiencies. As a people manager, he/she will also provide ongoing development, direction, management and leadership to the Global Payroll Process functions and team. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a deep and broad knowledge of payroll processes, with a high degree of resolve and a passion to succeed. This is a highly visible position requiring a high energy, “roll-up your sleeves” management style and requires someone who excels in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment, and has the ability to work both vertically and horizontally across the organization.


  • Expand upon global payroll process catalog to include standardization of system configuration, scope of services and other identified opportunities
  • Ongoing analysis of HR/Benefits and Payroll processes to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization and efficiency gains
  • Build and maintain measurable Service Legal Agreement (SLA) with key partners such as HR and Benefits
  • Partner closely with global and regional operations management team to ensure process team areas of focus align with and enable potential operational efficiencies
  • Ensure Global Payroll requirements are adequately represented in partner organizations’ programs (e.g. new compensation schemes, mergers, acquisitions, etc.)
  • Coordination of engagement activities across partner organizations (HR, IT, Finance, etc.) for interlocked projects
  • Subject matter expert and leader related to UPIM project approach, processes, and risk mitigation for payroll transformation projects
  • Perform analysis to assess impact of new policies / programs from partner organizations on payroll landscape (process, system, people)
  • Design and transform Payroll/Time Tracking processes worldwide to drive standardization, efficiency and cost effectiveness

Key Skillsets

  • 4 year management experience leading professionally skilled resources
  • 5 years working with Payroll processes in complex environments
  • Proven experience in driving process improvement initiatives
  • Comprehension of project management methodologies and approaches
  • Advocate of change and continuous improvement
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective ability to assess, prioritize and adjust work efforts to meeting changing business requirements
  • Proven ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent
  • Knowledge of ADP GlobalView, Eetime, and Workday HCM is highly desired
  • Six Sigma certification a plus
  • Fluent English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer oriented with strong customer service mindset
