Senior Finance Lead- Flagship Account

Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for end to end (P&L, Balance Sheet) financial management of a large Service Tower of a Flagship Enterprise Services contract with revenues per annum of approx. $70-$90m. In addition to Tower P&L ownership this role will also assist in account-wide revenue recognition consultancy, commercial negotiations and overall contract strategy shaping.

The responsibilities include:

Financial Management

  • Drive and influence strategic decision-making within the Service Tower (e.g. long-term business planning, product analysis and development, balancing risk, approving deals, etc.)
  • Assist in support the business managers in commercial discussions and disputes resolution with the client both through advice and consultation as well as by participating in face to face negotiations if needed
  • Proactively drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the contract
  • Lead complex financial analysis for the Service Tower, exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives
  • Provide leadership during implementation of business-wide programs and products
  • Assist in Managing external vendors (e.g., auditors, consultants)
  • Support in Revenue Recognition and commercial discussions
  • Maintain strong business controls based on audit standards; actively review, analyze, and manage the key controls within the domain of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Standards of Business Conduct (SBC), Accounting and Finance Manual (AFM)
  • Execute Finance Month End Close processes – manual system entries, Cost of Sales controlling and analysis
  • Create management reporting /review material – i.e. reports that include analytics such a % of revenue, etc. variance analysis, estimates
  • Identify & find solutions to cost, revenue & other special accounting requirements for the unit supported (incl. Revenue Recognition Checklist and Accounting Memo)
  • Drive monthly forecasting process through work with operations to create financial forecasts including Revenue and Cost detailed planning
  • Coordinate and execute budget planning (inclusive Gap to Budget analysis and Risk Management)
  • Balance Sheet analysis

Desirable Qualifications:

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA, CIMA or ACCA) preferred
  • Typically 10 years of experience in multiple finance functions (e.g. Controllership, Business Finance, Audit, Accounting, Tax, etc.)
  • Strong passion for the Business and Business Trends
  • Solid Business Unit Finance / Controlling experience
  • Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
