Senior Associate, Corporate Venture Capital -1595545

The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Ventures/Pathfinder team at HPE is looking for outstanding individuals who will be part of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Ventures investment team. The individual will manage and support equity investments, strategic initiatives, and strategic alliances. She or he will have the opportunity to meet with executive management from leading private companies, attend industry conferences, and visit prospects. She or he will also work with business groups in HPE to develop growth strategies and establish build/invest/buy priorities over different time horizons.

The position is located at HPE headquarters, in Palo Alto, CA.


Build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, intermediaries, and executives to stay informed of early and growth companies

Provide thought leadership and nurture long-term partnership with the business to help formulate investment and acquisition strategy that is aligned with overall business strategy

Own and independently drive all aspects of projects – growth strategies, venture investments

Develop and maintain strong industry and competitive knowledge

Help originate, evaluate and recommend potential investment opportunities through a data driven and innovative approach to investing

Drive financial modeling and scenario analysis for each proposed investment target (e.g. investments, structures, exits, distributions)

Help coordinate transaction due diligence

Develop sector maps and monitor industry trends

Education and Qualifications


Bachelors in engineering field from a top tier school and MBA degree required.

2-3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or venture capital preferred.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Good understanding of information technology and industries in which HPE competes. Technical and/or engineering/IT background required.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and business judgment
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in cross-functional settings
  • Superlative communication (verbal/written), presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Unwavering personal integrity
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of and interest in the financial and technology markets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort working independently with limited oversight
