We are looking for a Managed Services Provider (MSP) Resident Engineer to join our team.

The Managed Services Provider (MSP) Resident Engineer role and responsibilities are primarily focused upon providing ongoing technical support to HPE-Aruba MSP customers for HPE- Aruba MSP product and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support of cloud operational support systems
  • Support creation, testing of, implementation, and management of network solutions as a set of templates used in cloud operational support systems
  • Support migrations and deployments of templated network solutions for MSP and its customers
  • Collaboration in the development of mobility solutions; building test beds; conducting verification & validation testing; developing performance benchmarks
  • Support of Aruba and HPE networking products used by MSP in its managed network service templates to its customers.

Resident Engineer Challenges:

  • Ability to integrate as part and be accepted as part of the customer engineering and operations team
  • Ability to work with development engineers and help translate to applied engineering in the MSP's environment
  • Capture MSP requirements to communicate to product development
  • Maintain a sense of mission and focus on results that bring value to the customer

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Seven (7) years practical Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking experience, required.
  • Minimum of Three (3) years practical hands on WLAN and 802.11 experience, required.
  • Minimum of One (1) year practical experience architecting and deploying AWE, SFDC, and MuleSoft, required.
  • Experience with LINUX, XML, HTML, Powershell, Orchestrator, Hadoop, Python, Shell, Perl, Ruby or Java, required.
  • Experience and understanding of LAN/WAN and MSP architectures and designs; mobile networking, and cloud networking, required.
  • Good communications skills, both oral and written, required.
  • Ability to work a non-standard work schedule.
  • Ability to attain Aruba certifications (ACMA, AWMP, ACCP, ACMP, ACCX)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aruba certifications (ACMA, AWMP, ACCP, ACMP, ACCX), preferred.
  • Project management experience/skills/background, preferred.
  • SFDC Services experience, preferred.
  • AWE workflows, development, operations, and management experience, preferred
  • MSP operational support systems platforms and processes, preferred.
  • Practiced in Agile development approach, preferred.
