The large-scale integrated photonics (LSIP) group in Hewlett Packard Labs is seeking qualified candidates for a postdoctoral researcher position starting immediately. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing artificial-intelligence accelerator using application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) or field-programmable gate array (FPGA) for applications such as internet of things (IoT). The selected candidate will also involve with the development of embedded system hardware that includes microcontrollers, sensors, wireless/optical transceivers, power management units, and energy harvesters. The selected candidate will work closely with interdisciplinary researchers and publish research results in top-tier conference and journals.

Education and Experience:

  • PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related fields.
  • Strong publication record in machine learning, neuromorphic computing, deep learning, artificial intelligence, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated research capability in developing artificial intelligence hardware using ASIC or FPGA.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to share research findings and solve challenging problems.
