Network Engineer (TS/SCI FSP)

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has an immediate need in our US Public Sector Consulting Organization for a Network Engineer in Ft. Meade, MD.

Job Description:

Develop large enterprise monitoring architecture

Design, develop, build, and test network monitoring solutions as part of a team that introduces new technologies and/or improves existing technologies on the client’s operational networks. Ensure that the solutions are fully documented and in compliance with applicable security requirements. Serve as the subject matter expert for HP Network Node Manager (NNMi), iSPI Performance for Metrics and the QA iSPI.

Technical Responsibilities in support of NNMi Install, configure and maintain NNMi 10x on the Linux platform, Configure Application Failover, Install NPS in a distributed or High Availability (HA) architecture, Support integration between NNMi and uCMDB, Perform system hardening, Support of backend databases (PostgreSQL and SybaseIQ)

Education and Experience:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field

In-depth knowledge of NNMi, QA-iSPI and Metrics iSPI

Ability to articulate complex technology ideas with a clear understanding of the customer business needs

Demonstrated ability to work as the lead for large complex projects

Excellent presentation skills – can engage credibly with engineers, managers, directors and executives

Previous experience integrating individual tools into the framework such as uCMDB, OMi, BSM, etc.

Must have TS/SCI with Poly
