JOB DESCRIPTION

In support of the Department of the Army, we are seeking an Jr. Java Developer who will be responsible for working with the project team to develop and maintain the application.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): analyze business requirements, develop design documentation based on application requirements, develop and test code per schedule, escalate risks and issues to the Project Manager, and assist in troubleshooting production support issues.
  • Must be able to access the AHRS Development and Test environments via VPN.
  • Responsible for Java development, and will focus on modifying the eMILPO application to comply with 508 requirements.
  • Support the full software life cycle development process, including maintaining requirements, analysis, design, development, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • The resource will need to have at least two years of Java development experience in a J2EE environment.
  • Two years of PL/SQL development experience, including the development of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Experience with JavaScript and HTML
  • Preferably, experience with Struts

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE

  • BS degree required (Computer Science, Information Systems majors preferred)
  • 2 years work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Java certifications preferred but not required
