IT Integration & Automation Capability Expert

The IT Integration & Automation Capability Expert is responsible for technical strategy and innovation of large-scale business process automation solutions focused on cost reduction of core ITIL v3 delivery processes.

Heavy focus will be required on application integration techniques and associated application integration technologies to eliminate manual processes and provide an automated end-to-end ITIL request-to-fulfillment lifecycle.

As a member of the Service Management Strategy and Innovation team, this individual will work closely with Capability Owners, Process Designers, Project Leaders, Architects, Engineers, and Delivery Teams, providing technical consulting and knowledge of the software applications used to deliver business process automation.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a member of a multi-discipline team, responsibilities include supporting the overall capability team, supporting various projects within the capability, and partnering with engineering to review and validate project designs within the automation applications. In addition, this person would assist in answering technical questions related to the automation applications and how they work within the Service Management architecture. This individual will also have the following responsibilities:

1. Tactical Project Activities

a. Responsible to ensure Stakeholder Requirements are understood by Engineering Teams; both application and infrastructure.

b. Responsible to evaluate Solution Designs from Engineering Teams.

c. Responsible to evaluate impact and dependencies on Master Data Management and other Capabilities

d. Consult on Solution Packaging and Release Strategy

e. Consult on Validation Test Strategy, Plans, Automation and Cases

f. Consult on Project Solution issue resolution.

g. Consult on Solution impact to Global Engineering

2. Strategic Activities

a. Responsible to communicate and align technical strategy between Capability and HP Software and, as required, 3rd-party Software Providers

b. Represent technical strategy in Roadmap Reviews

c. Participate in Customer Technical Knowledge Briefs, Demonstrations and Escalations

d. Provide Capability Technical knowledge to Practices and Sales

e. Provide Capability technical input to Cost Models

About the candidate

Required

Experience:

Overall 10-15 years of Senior IT experience as an Architect or Integration Engineer with a minimum of 3-5 of hands-on knowledge and experience working with Business Process Automation and application integration tools and techniques in the following areas:

  • Exhibit a high level end-to-end understanding of Business Process Automation system architecture and design for large computing environments· Experience with Service Management’s application integration tool, Service Integration Framework (SIF) or similar 3rd party products· Experience with current versions of Business Process Automation tools such as HP Operations Orchestration or similar 3rd party products· Experience with service request and ticketing systems (HP Service Manager, HP Service Anywhere, Remedy, ServiceNow)· Advanced knowledge of core ITIL v3 methodology and processes, with practical knowledge of integrating ITIL tools to eliminate manual delivery steps· Knowledge of IT Outsourcing industryQualifications:· Bachelors Level Degree or equivalent work experience· Highly Desired Majors: Computer Science / Information Technology / Operations· Project management certification or equivalent working knowledge and experience within project teams· ITIL v3 Foundations Certification (Expert level certification preferable)· Excellent written and oral communications skills· Leadership capabilities and experience working with virtual global teams
