Inside Sales Account Manager

A new position exists for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join Hewlett Packard Enterprise as an Inside Sales Account Manager. This position supports the Enterprise Server, Storage, Networking, Big Data and Cloud team where you will be the single point of contact for new and existing clients. You will work on transactional run rate deals and be responsible for growing our business. The ideal candidate will be a highly driven, energetic, and self-motivated with a can-do attitude. This role is based in Forest Hill, Melbourne.

Responsibilities:

  • Making phone contact with HPE (Australia) Enterprise customers as per assigned territory.
  • Driving new HPE revenue from a list of targeted customers.
  • Managing and maintaining leads provided from external events/marketing and follow up where required.
  • Providing leads to Channel Partners once qualified opportunities.
  • Maintaining knowledge of competitors in accounts to strategically position HPE’s products and services better.
  • Using expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline
  • Building and monitoring Sales Pipelines to ensure continuous population and movement of near- and long-term opportunities.
  • Resolving different customer problems and participate in important negotiations with key customers.
  • Achievement of quota targets.
  • Proactively managing key partner relationships to strengthen overall solution capabilities and drive greater client value.
  • Partnering with Sales Team to develop and execute account plans through the management and coordination of sales activities.
  • Reviewing account activities in pursuit of new business or up-selling opportunities.
  • Proactively managing key partner relationships to strengthen overall solution capabilities and drive greater client value.
  • Actively engages executives to build strategic relationship which favourably position long-term business opportunities for HP and are complementary to overall account activities.

It is expected that you possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in telesales or inside sales within the IT industry.
  • Demonstrated achievement of quota, building relationships with customers and working with Channel Partners.
  • Technical ability to develop and coordinate a total sales engagement in a complex environment involving other sales professionals.
  • Strong relationships outside of organization including highest levels of executives, with channel partners, customers, etc.
  • Consistently demonstrates proactive activities within accounts to uncover new business and take ownership for new opportunities.
  • Broadly understands products and solution offerings as well as competitor’s offerings.
  • Endeavors to understand the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated, and integrates this knowledge into consultative Tele Sales selling.
  • Territory planning and accurate account revenue forecasting skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Advanced sales negotiation and deal closing skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
