Job Description:

The Open Systems Server Division of our DCIG group is being formed to respond to increasing customer demand for servers with open design principles and enhanced business operating model that enables delivery of systems personalized to customer need with technology that is available at time-to-market.

The GTM enablement and vertical segmentation required for adoption of the Cloudline server portfolio is needed to grow share in the open server market. The Cloudline product management team is building a new discipline for amplifying awareness for this product, tracking pipeline growth in the regions and delivering personalized products to our customers. This team will be responsible for supporting the global sales organization and solution architects to drive revenue for the Cloudline portfolio. #CBHPE

Job Description:

The Cloudline GTM specialist will be focused on delivering customer specific product requirements for the Cloudline portfolio. They will enable and support the global and regional sales organizations with required product plans, training and communications for sales in to Cloud service providers, Telcos, Enterprise service providers and Banking/ financial market segments.

As the Cloudline GTM specialist you will coordinate with WW product management, and help define the product offering, positioning, and pricing, life cycle of a given portfolio in support of customer requirements. . In this role you will be responsible for and delivering on regional and verticals specific business plans, pipeline development and sales support to close deals.

Cloudline GTM specialist needs to be a lead expert in competition product knowledge; in all dimensions (product knowledge, pricing, marketing, customer requirements), as well as be able to support direct (and long term indirect) sales force on product strategies. Cloudline GTM specialist will define demand generation priorities at strategic and tactical levels in partnership with the Marketing function.

In this role you are also required to provide regular reporting, and will be measured on achieving assigned business goals for your region and/or vertical segment.


  • Product line responsibility for Cloudline server sales to a specific region and/or vertical segment.
  • Superior understanding of the product, business management, sales challenges and strategies.
  • Is perceived by the sales team to be an expert in the products/services/solutions and regularly is called on to defend the products in front of customers or partners.
  • Validates customer requirement, and provides product/service/solution recommendations to sales teams
  • Actively contributes and drives achievement of the regional and/or vertical business plan for Cloudline servers
  • Establishes relationships and represents team with customers, sales force, product managers, pre-sales/pursuit and partners. Leads overall engagement with sales teams and partnerships with HPE internal and external teams.
  • Based on customer and sales feedback, strong knowledge of trends in the industry, works with product management to affect the product strategy and direction of the portfolio
  • Program manages and leads xBU teams to deliver on customer specific product requirement

Education and Experience Required:

  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical.
  • Typically 7+ years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning experienced preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • IT industry knowledge. Server and/or Storage product knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing processes and practices.
  • Business and Financial planning skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.
  • Strong Communication skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including senior management.
  • Working experience and knowledge in at least one vertical segment, preferably– Cloud service providers, Telco, Enterprise service providers and Banking/ financial markets.
