Data Capture Team Lead


The Data Entry Team Lead will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis. The Data Entry Team Lead will direct a team of 10-15 data entry clerks in preparing source data for database entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities, and entering source documents into the proprietary database. The Data Entry Team Lead manages the daily tasks and workflow of the functional area that process paper and electronic transactions such as medical claims, enrollment applications, fax correspondence, and other transactions. The Data Entry Team Lead will work with the department supervisor to develop and enforce policies and procedures, assist with training employees, planning, assigning and directing workflow and addressing employee concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.


Leads, coaches and mentors the production team towards delivering the required results while balancing individual and team needs

Lead by example and encourage active participation of the employees

Responsible for training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, addressing employee concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Coaches team members towards solving every day operational problems and common objectives

Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedure

Must be able to function effectively as a leader in a team environment; able to translate concepts into effect

Works with department management to develop and enforce policies and procedures for measuring success and accuracy of work

Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture


Educationand Experience:

Minimum Associates degree in Healthcare,Business, or technical related field or equivalent work experience.

1-2 years of relevant experience

Must be able to type 65 wpm corrected speed

12-18 months minimum data entry experiencein high volume environment preferred

Proven work experience as a team leader orsupervisor

In depth knowledge of performance metrics

Excellent PC skills, advanced knowledge inMicrosoft Word and Excel

Excellent communication and leadershipskills
