In the Finance division, our reporting and controlling teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial integration of mergers and acquisitions, as well as USGAAP-reporting. Our objective is to display all business activities in a financially correct and transparent manner.

Controllership Financial Analyst

About the Job:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for end-to-end support for Vietnam based legal entities, ensuring the integrity of HPE's financial and tax reporting and drives compliance with HPE's policies and local regulatory requirements.

Provides complex financial analysis, exercising a unique understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives. Leads and advises on the complex business initiatives, leading several analysts across multiple areas within finance and across geographies/organizations. Drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function globally.

  • Ensure Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements are in compliance with GAAP and Company Accounting & Financial policy. Maintain integrity of entity's financial data
  • Ensure that the local legal and tax reporting for assigned entity is in compliance with country legal & regulatory requirements.
  • Coordination with auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of

financial audits, including follow up on outstanding items.

  • Oversee general accounting processes including the review of Key Performance Indicators and manage escalations
  • Subject Matter Experts for the general accounting functions to provide advice on processes & controls. Review and provide sign off for projects on local statutory and tax requirements
  • Oversee VAT and withholding tax reporting
  • Ensure appropriate business controls are in place for any systems and processes with financial impact. Ensures HPE's assets are safeguarded and accounted for. Maintains timely and transparent disclosure of all contingencies and control deficiencies
  • Support compliance team on public sector audit and maintenance of country employee reimbursement policy
  • Support Merger and Acquisition Integration activities
  • Undertake ad-hoc analysis and studies as required
  • Supports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to junior level analysts
  • Ensures business continuity plans in place with a financial need or impact

About the Candidate:

  • First-level university degree with a focus in Business or Economics
  • Advanced degree or Accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred
  • Chief Accountant qualification preferred
  • Typically 6 years or more of experience as a financial analyst
  • Typically experienced in more than one finance function
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Superior teamwork skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Good project management skills
