Business Segment Manager Technical Services Support Automation

HP Technology Services Support is seeking highly motivated and qualified Product Management candidates for leading our Analytics initiatives for Service Automation 2.0. As the Product Manager for the Analytics team, you will work with our R&D teams to drive, develop or integrate new analytics reporting capabilities (e.g. visualizations, dashboard, custom reports) and predictive analytics technology (e.g. predict future environment events based on big data metrics) for our HPE product support offerings (Foundation Care, Proactive Care, and Data Center Care). The position will collaborate with the Business Segment Managers and Portfolio Leads to align our service automation offerings and drive major program and milestone goal achievement/visibility at executive level. The position will leverage extensive market analysis, competitive analysis, business strategy, planning and product management skills to drive best practices and execution of Technology Services Support new business justifications and offering plans and roadmaps. The leader will own and improve processes for business performance, formulate strategy, priorities and roadmaps, and will champion and secure solid cross-BU/Partner plan interlocks.

  • Based on a strong knowledge of trends in the industry affect the strategy/direction of the product line/line of services or solutions

Suggest strategy changes internally and with external partners

Lead projects that involve cross-functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/ solutions

Improve processes affecting their workgroup and interfaces; e.g., forecast system, obsolesces process with retailers

Seen by sales team as an expert in the products/services/solutions and regularly is called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners Regional:

Regularly recommend product/ service/solution strategic direction to senior management

Often create innovative solutions to enhance sales of the product lines or line of services/solutions

Education and Experience Required:

  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical

Knowledge and Skills Required:

6 years in product marketing fundamentals

6 years in product management (lifecycle management)

Strong leadership capabilities

Minimum 1 year work experience in a general marketing function beyond Product Marketing

Practical experience with business drivers for Big Data and Analytics technology, such as Hadoop, Hbase, ElasticSearch, R, Scala, Spark, and MatLab

Practical experience with business drivers for Reporting and Visualization Tools, such as Tableau, Kylin, Power PI
