Financial Systems Specialist



The Financial System Specialist role will be responsible for organizing all aspects of the company’s finance and accounting system, Deltek Vision.  This role reporting to the Corporate Finance Leader will work closely with Enterprise Software Management to ensure our business and reporting processes drive business innovation and value through the use of technology.


  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Vision.
  • Assess current financial and business processes to identify areas of improvement as afforded by technology.
  • Work with cross functional teams to design and implement solutions supporting the company’s goals.
  • Assess, prioritize and track requests and suggestions from all levels of the company, applying enterprise wide thinking to individual departmental requests for IT investments to ensure end-to-end process and data integration are achieved.
  • Establish and facilitate an employee training program related to the Deltek Vision platform and related systems covering a range from the orientation of new employees to full roll out of programs related to new initiatives within the system.
  • Lead the assessment, testing and implementation of system updates.
  • Manage and supervise technical system improvements through an advanced understanding of programming.
  • Develop departmental standards, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure service excellence.
  • Other related services as needed by or requested by leadership.
Job Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related financial field of study or sufficient work experience to demonstrate equivalent knowledge is required.
  • Ten years' experience in A/E industry preferred, with extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional service firm operations a must.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects and requirements of Deltek Vision a must.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Experience with Accounting/ERP system implementations and integration with other software.
  • Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment under deadline situations.

  • MS SQL (Competency Level: Advanced Knowledge)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
